The 1st Annual Ryder Cup at the Elks was contested over 27 holes with two teams made up of twenty-two players and captained by Karl Karlstrom and Mike Basilone.  The morning foursome event or best ball was played on the Blue Course with the Blue Team taking a one point lead, 6 to 5.  The second event was played on the Red Course, a modified altnerate shot with the Blue Team clinging to their one point lead 11 1/2 to 10 1/2.  The afternoon matches were contested on the White course with twenty-two available points and a chance for the Red Team to surge.  The Ryder Cup came down to the final pairings with the Red Team winning the last two matches for a final score of 23 to 21.  We would like to thank everyone who played in this years event and look forward to another battle in 2013.
