The club would like to thank everyone for playing in this year's Denny McGonagle Member - Member. The event is a 27-hole tournament combining a 9-hole scramble, 9-hole best ball and a 9 hole modified alternate shot. Handicaps for each of the 9 hole events are based on a percentage of the team's combined handicap. We had some great scores, great shots, a few skins and we only had to play a few holes in the rain. The winners receive gift certificates to the golf shop and our Champions will receive trophies on September 10th at our final MGA event.

The 3rd Annual Hamilton Elks Benevolent Tournament

Saturday, August 6th

The Benevolent Tournament is an 18 hole, 4-person scramble event with an Open and a Mixed Divisions. The players are competing for pride and the right to put their names on the Benevolent plaque. The tournament was created by the Board of Trustees and Mike Smith for the purpose of assisting our Elk members in need. The entire entry fee for the event is donated to the fund and the club has raised over $12,000 in the last three years. Our event this year was played on the original Ross Design with 64 players competing in a 4-person scramble, net with 8-inch cups.

The 2016 Men's & Ladies Club Championship - June 11th & 12th

The Club Championship was contested over two hot and humid days this past weekend. The first round was played on the Blue to Red rotation with the finals played on the original Ross Design. Our Men's event was a 36-hole medal play, flighted championship and our Ladies was a Gross and Net tournament. 2016 Lady Elk's Invitational

The Lady Elk's Invitational took place on Thursday, July 28th, the event was delayed approximately an hour due some poor weather in the area. But, at 10:00am, the weather broke, the Olympic Rings caught fire and as the Lady's said, "Let the Games begin". The Olympic torch entered the parking lot on a chariot and we shotgun everyone on the course at 10:15am.

The format for this year's event was a four person, 2 best ball event net on the par 4's & 5's and 3 best ball event net on the par 3's. There were plenty of metals given out along with some great costumes by the following countries: Sweden, Jamaica, USA, Greece, Germany and many more. Each foursome was paired with a Country and given the opportunity to dress up, decorate their carts and become eligible for prizes if the made a gross on net birdie on their respective country hole.

The Lady Elk's committee would like to thank everyone for participating in this year's event which help raise $1,000 for Butler County's Special Olympic Program. Great Job Ladies!!!!!
